When I drove into San Francisco last week to start my move to the Bay Area, the cranes that hung in the skyline made a quick impression. Once I spent time walking around South of Market, the cranes that stood out most were furi-ously piling floors on the luxury condo project Lumina – which draws attention not only with its size (nearly a full city block) but with its bright netting and signage.
